What Constitutes Abuse

The following activities are strictly prohibited on rus.sh and will result in immediate link removal and potential account termination:

🎣 Phishing & Social Engineering

Links designed to steal credentials, impersonate legitimate services, or trick users into providing sensitive information (passwords, credit cards, personal data).

🦠 Malware Distribution

Links that distribute viruses, ransomware, trojans, spyware, or any other malicious software intended to harm users' devices or data.

📧 Spam & Unsolicited Marketing

Mass distribution of rus.sh links in unsolicited emails, comments, or messages. Commercial spam or pyramid schemes.

⚖️ Illegal Content

Links to content that violates laws, including but not limited to: child exploitation, terrorist content, illegal drugs, counterfeit goods, or copyright infringement.

💣 Harassment & Hate Speech

Links used to harass, threaten, or promote violence against individuals or groups based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.

⚠️ Deceptive Practices

Links that mislead users about the destination, use excessive redirects, or employ cloaking techniques to hide malicious content.

🤖 Automated Abuse

Automated or scripted link creation that violates rate limits, creates thousands of links for scraping or DDoS purposes, or otherwise abuses our API.

How to Report Abusive Links

To report an abusive rus.sh link, please provide the following information:

Our Investigation Process

Our security team reviews the link, analyzes the destination, checks for malware, and verifies the abuse claim.

Action Taken

If abuse is confirmed, the link is immediately disabled. Severe cases may result in account suspension or termination.

User Notification

The link owner is notified about the violation and given an opportunity to appeal if appropriate.

Reporter Update

We send you a confirmation that action was taken (without disclosing specific user details).

Appeal Process for Disabled Links

If your link was disabled and you believe this was done in error, you may appeal the decision:

Who Can Appeal

Only the account owner who created the original link may file an appeal.

How to Appeal

Email abuse@rus.sh with:

  • • Your account email address
  • • The disabled rus.sh link
  • • Explanation of why the link is legitimate
  • • Any supporting evidence (screenshots, documentation)

Appeal Review Timeline

Appeals are reviewed within 2-3 business days. If your appeal is successful, the link will be restored. Decisions on appeals are final.

Consequences of Abuse

Violation of our abuse policy may result in:

  • Immediate link removal: The abusive link will be disabled without warning
  • Account suspension: Temporary or permanent suspension of your rus.sh account
  • No refunds: Paid subscriptions will not be refunded for policy violations
  • Legal action: Severe cases may be reported to law enforcement
  • Blacklisting: Your domain or IP may be permanently blacklisted from creating future links

Zero Tolerance for Serious Abuse

Accounts found to be distributing malware, conducting phishing attacks, or engaging in illegal activities will be immediately and permanently terminated, and all data will be forwarded to appropriate law enforcement agencies.
